CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
Cream together:

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar

Add:

4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

In a separate bowl, mix

4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda

Combine all of the above, then add:

24 oz. chocolate chips (semi sweet)
1 (8 oz.) plain Hershey bar, finely grated
3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Place a golf ball sized balls on a greased cookie sheet, two inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Makes 112 cookies.

Measure 5 cups of oatmeal. Pulverize the oatmeal, in small batches, in a food processor or a blender; the 5 cup measure is before pulverizing.
