1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts or raisins (optional)

Cream sugar, eggs and sour cream together. Sift dry ingredients and add. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees. May frost if desired.
