CARAMEL CORN 
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. white corn syrup
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. peanuts or pecans
7 1/2 qts. popped corn

Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil 5 minutes. Beat in soda. Stir in peanuts. Place corn in a shallow pan, pour sugar mixture over corn, stir. Pour in large paper sack and put the microwave. Turn on High 1 1/2 minutes. Shake well and return to microwave and cook 1 1/2 minutes. Shake again.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
