BAPTIST POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. homogenized milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco, butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Sift flour, add baking powder and sift again. Add milk and flour alternately. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Place in cold oven. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
