ITALIAN HERBED TUNA & NOODLES | |
3 c. med. noodles 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of shrimp soup 3/4 c. shredded processed Swiss cheese or Mozzarella cheese 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 (12 1/2 oz.) can water pack tuna, well drained & flaked 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained 1/4 c. finely chopped onion 2 tbsp. snipped parsley 1 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs Cook noodles according to package directions and drain. Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain. In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter, stir in flour, add milk and soup. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in cheese and seasoning. Stir until cheese melts. Stir in broccoli, tuna, mushrooms, onion and parsley. Fold in noodles. Turn into 2 quart casserole. In small skillet melt 1 tablespoon butter, toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake, uncovered in 350 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes or until heated through. |
