SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 c. flour 1 c. sour cream 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla In small bowl combine nuts, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 inch tube pan. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed beat 1 cup sugar with butter until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, beat at low speed until blended. At medium speed, beat 3 minutes. Spread half the batter in pan, sprinkle with half of nut mixture, repeat layers. Bake 60-65 minutes until cake pulls away from pie. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Loosen and invert pan on rack. |
