1 c. flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk

Sift all dry ingredients together, add milk, slightly cooled butter and vanilla. Mix well and spread in greased square pan. Pour following sauce over it and bake 25 to 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.

SAUCE:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. cocoa

Mix and pour over batter.
