POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 pt. whipping cream (do not whip)
6 extra lg. eggs
3 c. all purpose flour
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or any flavoring

Cream butter real well. Add sugar. Beat real well. Add eggs beating well after each. Alternate flour with whipping cream, add vanilla.

Bake at 275°F for 2 hours in heavy tube pan. Do not open oven door the first hour. Beating is the secret of this cake.
