ONION SMOTHERED STEAK | |
1 1/2 lb. beef round steak, cut 3/4" thick 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. oil 3 onions, sliced 1 c. water 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 clove garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1/4 tsp. dried thyme Combine flour, salt and pepper; pound into meat. Cut steak into servings; brown in hot oil. Top with onion slices. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. 6 servings. |
