SMOTHERED STEAK | |
1/4 c. flour Dash pepper 1 1/2 lb. round steak, about 3/4" thick 2 tbsp. shortening 1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup 1/2 soup can of water Combine flour and pepper; pound into steak with meat hammer. In large skillet brown steak on both sides in shortening. Add soup and water. Cover. Cook over low heat about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until tender. Stir now and then. |
