URSULA'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
4 med. size potatoes, boiled
1 med. onion, chopped
1 cucumber, med. grated
4 slices bacon, cut in sm. pieces
Vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste
2 to 4 tbsp. warm water to moisten salad

Peel and thinly slice potatoes into bowl. Add chopped onion and grated cucumber. Brown the bacon and add to the potatoes with as much of the bacon grease as your diet allows. Stir in vinegar (start with 2 teaspoons), salt, and pepper; mix well. Then add warm water, if necessary, to moisten salad and mix again. Serve at room temperature.
