DOROTHY MICKAN'S GERMAN POTATO
SALAD
 
5-6 med. potatoes, boiled in jackets
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. white vinegar
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. pepper
1/2 c. warm water

Boil potatoes, peel and slice while warm. Heat oil and cooked, chopped onions in oil until tender; pour into potatoes. Add vinegar, salt, pepper and water; mix well and let stand several hours. This salad keeps well in the refrigerator. More vinegar or salt may be added.

This recipe comes from Dorothy's grandparents and was passed down through the generations. It has been a real favorite at many family functions through the years.
