BREAKFAST PUFFS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
6 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix first 3 ingredients. Sift together next 4 ingredients and add to first mixture alternately with the milk. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full and bake in 350 degree oven 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Turn out onto wax paper. With pastry brush, coat puffs with the melted butter and roll in sugar-cinnamon mix. Let cool before serving. Makes 12 puffs.
