MIXED NUT BARS 
1 pkg. white cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 pkg. (6 oz.) butterscotch flavored chips
1/3 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 can (12 oz.) mixed nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat cake mix (dry), 1/2 cup butter and the egg in a large bowl on low speed until dough forms. Press in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake until light brown but not set (about 20 minutes). Mix butterscotch chips, corn syrup and 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until chips are melted.

Immediately spread butterscotch mixture over cake layer. Sprinkle with nuts; press gently. Bake 5 minutes longer. Loosen edges with knife. Refrigerate 1 hour. Cut into bars. Refrigerate.
