CRISPY PICKLES 
4 qt. sliced cucumbers
6 med. onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, cut in sm. pieces
1 green pepper, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
1/3 c. plain salt
3 c. white vinegar
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tbsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed

Slice cucumbers. Add salt, cover with ice and mix thoroughly. Let stand 3 ours. Drain. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over cucumbers. Heat to boiling. Put into sterile jars.
