BEEF BURGUNDY 
Brown 3 pounds beef chuck in skillet with 1/4 cup shortening.

Add:

1-1/2 tsp. salt (omit if using bouillon)
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. thyme

Mix and put in 2-quart casserole.

Add:

1 c. beef consomme (can substitute beef bouillon)
1 c. dry red wine

Cover and bake for 2 hours at 325 degrees F.

Add:

1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
12 sm. canned onions
