FRIENDSHIP MUFFINS 
Do not refrigerate starter.

DAY 1-4: Stir once a day.

DAY 5: Add: 2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar

DAY 6-9: Stir once a day.

DAY 10: Add: 2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar

Measure out 3 portions of 2 cups each of starter. Give to 3 friends with cop of recipe.

To your 2 cups of starter add: 6 eggs 2 c. raisins 2 c. nuts 4 tsp. baking soda 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar (I use molasses rather than sugar) 1 tsp. cloves 4 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. flour 2 (14 oz.) cans crushed pineapple or 2 c. applesauce

Pick 3 ingredients from this list and add 2 cups of each:

Oatmeal

Flour

Granola

Bran

Wheat germ

Cereal

Chocolate chips

Pick 1 of these ingredients from this list and add 2 cups:

Grated apple

Grated carrots

Grated zucchini

Mashed bananas

Mashed pumpkin

Or use your imagination! Fill paper lined cups fairly full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes approximately 54 muffins.

I have done the friendship muffin recipe once before. In place of all the ingredients "to add" I have used pie filling instead of other spices or ingredients listed. The muffins were fabulous. My favourites were cherry pie filling and blueberry pie filling.
