SHANGHAI CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
2 c. sliced celery
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
2 c. cooked rice
2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped onions
1 tbsp. oil
1 can mushroom soup
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can chow mein noodles

Brown meat, onions and garlic in oil. Add celery and soup and thawed vegetables. Stir in rice and seasonings. Turn into a greased 2 1/2 quart casserole. Cover and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove cover and top with noodles. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
