WORLD'S BEST HALIBUT 
Halibut steaks
Mayonnaise
Med. cheddar cheese, grated

Lay the halibut steaks in a single layer in a foil-lined pan. Spread with mayonnaise liberally (approximately 1/8 inch thick). Season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic, onion, dill weed or anything else you think you might like.

Bake covered at 350 degrees for approximately 1/2 hour then uncover, put a whole bunch of grated cheese on top and bake covered until the fish is done. (The fish is done when it flakes after you've put a fork in the center.)
