JONATHAN'S RED CABBAGE | |
1 head of red cabbage, sliced thin 1 lg. onion, sliced 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut in small chunks 6 strips of bacon, diced 2 c. of apple cider vinegar 1 c. of sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar Saute bacon, add onions, cook until soft. Add cabbage and apples. Saute lightly. Add vinegar and sugars. Simmer for 1/2 hour or until tender. Drain and serve. Serves 6. |
