PARISIAN BEEF STEW 
Flour
2 lbs. cubed beef
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 c. consomme
1/4 c. sweet vermouth
3 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
Pinch of thyme

Dredge beef in seasoned flour. Brown with 1 clove crushed garlic. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 2 hours or 20 minutes in pressure cooker. Add onions, carrots, potatoes.
