JAMES BEARD'S SPARERIBS 
2 racks of spareribs

GLAZE:

1 c. honey
2/3 c. ketchup
2/3 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Dash Tabasco sauce

Line baking pan with foil. Bake ribs, salt and peppered, in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Remove and drain. Brush on glaze. May be grilled over hot coals, basting until well glazed or baked for an additional 30 minutes. Great as hors d'oeuvres. Have butcher cut ribs in thirds lengthwise. Proceed as above. Keep warm in chafing dish. Serves 4 to 6.
