CHEDDAR CHEESE STICKS 
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. paprika
3/4 c. butter
6 oz. sharp American cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 c. water

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in 1/2 cup butter; add cheese and mix well, then add enough water to hold ingredients together. Roll out on floured board to rectangle 14x8 inches. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter; fold corners into center.

Roll out again and dot with 2 tablespoons more butter; fold again. Wrap in wax paper and chill for about 30 minutes. roll out 1/4 inch thick. With pastry wheel, cut into scalloped strips 1/2x4 inches. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Make about 4 1/2 dozen.
