ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
1 c shortening
2 c sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c orange juice
Rind of 2 oranges
1 c sour milk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
4 c flour

Icing:

1 tbsp powdered sugar
Juice of one orange
Rind of one orange
2 tbsp melted butter

Cream ingredients in order listed until light and fluffy. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 300°F for 11 minutes.

Icing: Mix all ingredients until light and fluffy. Frost cooled cookies.

Hint: For sour milk, place 1 Tbsp of lemon juice or vinegar to measuring cup, add just enough milk to make one cup. Let mixture stand for 5 minutes.
