1 pkg. dry lentils
10 c. water
1/4 lb. salt pork
3 bay leaves
3 tbsp. minced onion
1 tbsp. minced garlic

Clean and drain lentils. Boil water. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
