SWEET POTATO AND APPLE CASSEROLE 
3 lg. sweet potatoes
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. raisins
Marshmallows
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
2 c. sliced apples, cooked

Boil sweet potatoes until tender; peel and slice. Make syrup of sugar, flour, water, butter, salt and apple pie spice.

In a buttered casserole alternate layers of potatoes, apples, raisins and syrup until they are used. Bake at 350 degrees until mixture bubbles. Cool slightly, arrange marshmallows on top. Return to oven and brown. 6 servings.
