MILE HIGH MERINGUE | |
3 egg whites 2 1/2 tbsp. cold water 1/8 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla 6 tbsp. sugar Add water to egg whites. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Add salt, cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat on high speed until stiff, add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time and continue beating until shiny peaks form. Spread on your favorite cooked fruit or cream pie. Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly brown. |
