MANDARIN TOSSED SALAD 
1/2 c. sliced almonds
2 tbsp. sugar

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar melts and almonds are coated. Cool, break apart (keep room temperature). 1/2 bunch Romaine 4 med. stalks celery, chopped 4 green onions, thinly sliced 2 cans mandarin orange segments

SWEET & SOUR DRESSING:

1/2 c. oil
4 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. snipped parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper

Shake all ingredients in tightly covered jar; refrigerate. Pour over salad and toss well.
