1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oats

Cream shortening and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift in flour, salt and soda. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
