SCOTCH PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Blend the sugar and water until almost dissolved. Boil mixture 2 minutes without stirring. Add 20 Ritz crackers, boil 1 1/2 minutes without stirring. Put in unbaked deep pie shell and sprinkle with brown sugar, butter and cinnamon or topping of your choice. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
