OATMEAL MOLASSES BREAD 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. molasses
1 tbsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 eggs
5 1/2 c. flour

Stir boiling water, rolled oats, shortening, molasses and salt in bowl and cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Stir in oatmeal mixture and mix well. Add eggs and flour. Mix thoroughly and cover with dish towel and let set 15 minutes. Turn onto well-floured board and knead a few times. Place in loaf pans and spread a little oil on top. Cover and let rise until double in bulk.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
