470 APPLE CRISP | |
1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 to 1 c. sugar 1 egg, unbeaten 7 or 8 apples, pared and sliced 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. butter, melted Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients; add egg and beat with a fork until crumbly. Place apples in 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with a little extra sugar, depending on the tartness of the apples, and a little of the cinnamon. Spread dry ingredients over apples. Pour melted butter over top, covering well. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender and pudding is bubbly. Serves 6 to 8. Note: Amount of sugar depends on how sweet a dough you like. |
