LE CHATEAU MONTEBELLO | |
2/3 c. butter (1 stick plus 3 tbsp.) 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. sugar Pinch of salt 1/4 to 1/2 c. milk FILLING: 1 lb. box light brown sugar + 1/4 c. 3 tbsp. butter 6 tbsp. all-purpose flour Roll out pie crust for 10 inch pie pan and place in pan. Cover bottom of crust with wax paper and place beans on top of wax paper. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Take out of oven and remove beans and wax paper. Cool. Mix brown sugar, butter and flour and mix well. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, about 20 to 30 minutes until thick. Allow to cool. Pour mixture in pie crust and cook 3/4 to one hour at 350 degrees. Remove and cool. Very rich so you can serve 16 people. |
