OREGON HAZEL NUT RAISIN COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. hazelnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. oatmeal

Cream shortening, add sugars and vanilla, egg and water. Sift flour, salt and soda together, add to creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal, raisins and hazelnuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
