ROLLS WITH CORNMEAL | |
1/2 c. plain cornmeal 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. Crisco oil 2 c. milk 2 eggs, beaten 1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water 4 c. flour or more Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil. Let cool to lukewarm. Add egg and yeast which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water. Stir in flour and knead on floured board. Let rise about 2 hours. Roll out on board. Cut as for biscuits. Dip in butter. Fold, place in pan. Let rise about 1 hour. Bake 400 degrees about 15 or 20 minutes. |
