SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
6 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavor
1/4 tsp. lemon flavor
1/4 tsp. almond flavor
1 c. commercial sour cream

Add baking soda and cream of tartar to flour and sift 3 times. Cream butter and 2 1/4 cups sugar. Blend in yolks, one at a time, and then add flavorings. Alternately add flour and sour cream, a little at a time. Beat egg whites with remaining sugar until stiff. Fold into batter (do not stir). Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from pan at once and let cool.
