CHOCOLATE COCONUT BARS | |
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 egg 7 oz. bag coconut 1/2 c. chopped pecans 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips 6 oz. pkg. butterscotch or peanut butter chips 18 oz. pkg. chocolate cake mix 1/3 c. butter, softened 1 egg Blend condensed milk, vanilla and 1 egg. Stir in coconut, pecans and chips, stirring until coated. Set aside. Mix cake mix, butter and 1 egg until mixture is crumbly. Press into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread coconut topping mixture over base. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Bars should be golden brown, but center may not appear firm until cool. Cool on a wire rack. |
