NEW ENGLAND BEEF STEW 
COMBINE:

3 lb. rump or sirloin tip, cut up as stew meat, do not brown
1 c. celery, cut in pieces
4 med. onions, cut in pieces
6 carrots, cut in pieces
1 tbsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 qt. can of tomatoes
1/2 c. pearl tapioca

Bake at 250 degrees for 4 hours.

ADD 1/2 HOUR BEFORE DONE:

1 pkg. frozen peas
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms

Bake for 1/2 hour longer. You might like to add these: 2 teaspoons paprika, 4 teaspoons parsley or 1/4 cup pearl barley.
