BUTTERMILK CUSTARD PIE 
1 pt. buttermilk
3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 tbsp. flour
Vanilla (optional)
2 unbaked pastry shells

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks well. Add flour; beat. Add buttermilk; stir well. Add well beaten egg whites. Stir enough just to mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

May also use graham cracker crust: 1/2 cup graham crackers, 3 tablespoons sugar, 6 tablespoons butter. Bake 10 minutes at 300 degrees (cinnamon or plain).
