BAKLAVA 
1 lb. walnut meats
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 lb. butter, melted
1 lb. filo (Publix - freezer)

SYRUP:

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. honey
1 tsp. lemon juice
Cinnamon stick

Syrup: Boil; cook for 10 minutes.

Grind walnuts and mix with sugar and spices. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan with melted butter. Place 6 filo sheets in large pan, brushing each with melted butter. Sprinkle with 1 cup of nut mixture. Cover with 6 filo sheets, brushing each generously with melted butter. Continue this procedure until all nut mixture is used. Finish with 6 filo sheets on top, brushing each with melted butter. Cut pastry into small diamond shapes with sharp knife. Bake in slow oven (300 degrees) for 1 1/2 hours until lightly browned. Remove from oven and pour cool syrup over hot pastry.
