WHIPPING CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Cold oven. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and whipping cream alternately. Beat slow until mixed well. Add salt and vanilla. Turn mixer on high and whip until very smooth. (The secret is in the whipping.) Pour into tube pan, place in cold oven. Bake for 90 minutes at 300 degrees.
