JAM PUDDING 
3 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. each of nutmeg, cloves & spice
1 c. jam or preserves
1 c. self-rising flour
1 tbsp. buttermilk with pinch of soda dissolved

Beat eggs, melt butter and add sugar. Add spices, jam or preserves, flour and buttermilk with soda. Mix well until ingredients are blended. Cook in moderate oven at 350 degrees until when straw is stuck in middle it will come out clean.
