1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 egg
2/3 c. applesauce
3 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. each cinnamon and ginger
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. each cloves, salt, and baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins

Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. 4 dozen.
