1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour

Cream the first 6 ingredients. Add flour and mix well. Drop dough onto cookie sheet using a small scoop. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until light brown. This is a basic recipe. Make different kinds of cookies.
