OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. boiled water
1 c. quick oats
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil water. Add oats and butter. Cool. Mix all dry ingredients together then remainder of ingredients. Once blended add oatmeal mixture. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

ICING:

1 c. coconut
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 c. nuts
2 egg yolks

Mix above ingredients and pour over cake. Put back in oven until it browns or bubbles.
