1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. butter
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 tbsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour

Knead this mixture. Form into balls and dip in sugar. Mash flat with sugared glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet. Makes 7 dozen.
