CHEESE KNISHES 
Dough:

4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 cup sour cream

Filling:

1 lb dry cottage or Farmer's Cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons plain bread, cracker or matzo crumbs
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons raisins
2 eggs, well beaten

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs, butter, and sour cream. Knead into a soft dough, adding a little milk if necessary. Roll out on floured work surface to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut into round or squares. Fill with cheese filling. Moisten edges. Fold over and pinch edges firmly together.

Place on a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated 350°F oven until golden brown.
