MONICA'S COFFEE CAKE AND TOPPING 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 lg. egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat sugar, vegetable oil, egg and milk in large mixer bowl. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Prepare topping. Sprinkle topping over coffee cake batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Mix all ingredients with a fork until crumbly.
