MERINGUE COOKIES 
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until stiff. Add sugar gradually and vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks form. Add chocolate chips, nuts and coconut. Drop by spoonfuls rather far apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
