1 c. flour
2 c. meal
1 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. green onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Mix all ingredients except buttermilk. Add buttermilk and stir until mixture is puffy and easy to mold into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Drop into deep fat at 350 degrees and cook until golden brown.
